As an installation artist and painter, I am interested in process and materials. My projects are conceptually driven, often involving the passing of time. My practice is informed by a reverence for nature and natural processes, a passion for reading, a concern for world affairs, and the study of meditation.
Art making is a way to explore ideas through physical means. Much of the work involves repetition of activities or the accretion of layers or marks, and speaks about impermanence or fragility in some way.
I'm interested in the impact of simple, individual acts, and how the accumulation of small humble gestures can affect great change.
