Phainopepla
This piece was made for an exhibition called "In and Above Park Santiago" curated by David Michael Lee and shown in the Project Space at Grand Central Art Center in Santa Ana, CA.
Each artist chose a bird from a list of those that someone might see in the park.
I went to the park and searched for the bird. I had a nice walk, but never saw it. I made drawings instead -- of the light coming through moving trees. These are referenced at the bottom.
