Syncopation
This painting is inspired by Steve Reich's Drumming II. The sounds in that piece blend and overlap to create other layers of sound and vibration.
A friend pointed out that I often approach my paintings in much the same way. I have also since come to discover that I associate my paintings directly with sound.
