In this five-hour durational performance, chance and sound-sensitivity played important roles. The performance, shown here in stills, was in response to and collaboration with a soundscape created by other artists in the space. It incorporated a suspended 30' hand-sewn collage, a two-step ladder, a rough-hewn rolling platform, and several types of paper and mark making implements. The content alludes to a cathartic and auspicious time in the artist's life (too personal to share here).
This performance took place October 29, 2023 during soundprints lull, a gathering toward quietest contemplation produced by FLOOD artist group as part of soundpedro 2023. Participating artists: Abacus, Amabelle Aguiluz, Betsy Lohrer Hall, Brandon Auger, comar muwaren & Chung Shih Hoh, Devin Sarno, George Sarah, Hamscholar, Jacob Wolff, Marc Perez & Alessandro Rovegno, Martín Espino, Pablo Perez, Phog Masheeen, Squash & Biscuit, Taylor Donofrio, Takeshi Kanemura & Chris Law, Yadira Dockstader, Young Tseng, and more…
